WAAPA auditions
Thu, 22 Sept 2005, 05:43 pmI was thinking if anyone can suggest any cool stuff for waapa auditions? i was thinking something more modern..cause all of the new dance mix musicals (let us rock you and saturday fever) have pop stuff in them.
maybe something by the fugees or cold chisel? killing me softly or choir girl? will they like that ?
or should i stick to anthem and this is the moment?>
thanks,
seb

Songs by them is NOT Musical Theatre. Not to be rude or anything, but when you audition for WAAPA, you need to pick something thats of the Musical Theatre GENRE. It's not what YOU want to hear, at the end of the day really. It should be a thrilling song/s that will show off your vocal quality.
You'd be making a bad choice if you did something from We Will Rock You or something like that. You need to chose a classic from Sondheim or, Gershwin, Berlin, Porter etc etc.
Good Luck.
