By accessing or using Theatre Australia ("the platform", "the service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the platform.

1. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Theatre Australia for lawful purposes only and in a way that does not infringe the rights of others or restrict their use of the platform. You must not:

• Post content that is defamatory, harassing, threatening, abusive, or discriminatory
• Impersonate another person, organisation, or public figure
• Post spam, unsolicited promotional material, or off-topic commercial content
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform or its systems
• Upload or transmit malicious code, viruses, or any other harmful software
• Scrape or harvest data from the platform by automated means without prior written consent

2. User-Generated Content

You retain ownership of the content you post on Theatre Australia, including forum posts, production listings, audition notices, and company profiles. By submitting content to the platform, you grant Theatre Australia a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to display, distribute, and archive that content on the platform and in any successor service.

You are solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of the content you post. Theatre Australia does not endorse and accepts no liability for user-generated content.

3. Restrictions on Commercial Use of Members' Content

You may not copy, republish, resell, or otherwise commercially exploit content posted by other members of the Theatre Australia community without their express written permission. This includes forum discussions, production listings, and company profiles contributed by other users. Directory and archival data from this platform may not be used for commercial purposes without prior authorisation from Theatre Australia.

4. Content Moderation

Theatre Australia reserves the right to review, edit, or remove any content that violates these Terms of Service, or that we determine — at our sole discretion — to be harmful, misleading, or inconsistent with the purpose of the platform. We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate accounts that seriously or repeatedly breach these terms, without notice.

5. Disclaimers

Theatre Australia is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any listings, audition notices, production information, or other user-contributed content. You use the platform at your own risk.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Australian law, Theatre Australia and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the platform, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

7. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of Australia. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with your use of Theatre Australia shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. We will notify registered users of material changes by posting a notice on the platform.
