PASSION IN OUR INDUSTRY
Wed, 8 Feb 2006, 03:01 pmHey Peeps,
My name is Rose and i would like to post one thing and one thing only,we have to be the only industry i know that gets paid great amounts to do what we love to do and we do it with passion and energy everyday,we also get paid to pass on our OWN knowledge and experience to our peers that know only what we tell to them so how about we let go of all the bagging and concentrate on working together to create a wholesome, full and vibing community rather than creating tension for all those that need to work together and lets work in harmony, for we are only gypsies!
Love Light and Happiness

No actually.
Professional means A PROFESSIONS. Which means a career in which you are being paid. I know a handful of paid-performers and I can't say I have heard of any of them- or their friends- doing amateur shows when they are unemployed. I have heard of co-op which is split profit. But I certainly haven't heard that Kate Hoolihan, between gigs, does a season for Joondalup Players.
I understand passion, I am not brainless Craig. What i didn't understand was how forum arguments stop professional entertainers from synchronising with amateur theatre groups.
Whatever. I don't buy any of the arguments. They are just not very clear to me.
But I must say I do look forward to seeing Marina Prior strut her stuff in my local community hall or nearby high school auditorium some day soon. That would proove her passion.
Weird argument.
