PASSION IN OUR INDUSTRY
Wed, 8 Feb 2006, 03:01 pmHey Peeps,
My name is Rose and i would like to post one thing and one thing only,we have to be the only industry i know that gets paid great amounts to do what we love to do and we do it with passion and energy everyday,we also get paid to pass on our OWN knowledge and experience to our peers that know only what we tell to them so how about we let go of all the bagging and concentrate on working together to create a wholesome, full and vibing community rather than creating tension for all those that need to work together and lets work in harmony, for we are only gypsies!
Love Light and Happiness

please !!!!
its not Gypsy Rose's fault that people have turned this around.
There are too many ego's in the industry.
Gypsy Rose is correct... Our industry would shine and grow so much quicker and grow into the beautiful industry it could be if the energy from all the bickering and jibes was put into a more constructive attitude. Being Amateur is only a state of mind. If you use the excuse "it doesnt matter because i am an amateur" than you will get nowhere and drag all the community theatre groups down with you.
If all you do is write humiliating forums than all you do is destroy the spark that could turn someone into a talented star.
Community theatre should be a breeding ground for gaining experience for use in the professional circuit. Instead people use forums like this to throw jibes and bicker and carry on.
No wonder semi professional and professional performers keep away from community theatre.
If we all changed our attitudes than we would see more semi pro, & pro performers in our productions with us.
Then our community theatre scene would be taken seriously by writers and playwrites and we would be allowed to do more complicated shows that international amateurs are enjoying.
