24 Hour Show Adelaide
Wed, 18 Jan 2006, 07:35 amAdelaide ppl if you didnt see the 24 Hour Show on Sat night you missed out big time.
24 Hour Show at Her Majesty'e Theatre Adelaide raising money for kids with cancer was a Great Show and extremely funny.
It was amazing. Auditions were on Friday night with 130 ppl. They audition everyone selecting cast within 15 min. Rehearsal began immediately. Rehearsal from 8pm to 12am Friday night then back at 8am Sat until end of show.
Guys and Dolls was the musical and no one knew what musical they were doing until all the cast were selected. They performed the whole show. 2 1/2hrs of dialogue, song and dance learnt in 24 hours. The sets were made in 24hrs. The orchestra was selected and the full score mastered in 24 hrs. Lighting and tech in 24 hours.
Yes lines were forgotten but adlibed. Some songs were forgotten but covered up with comedy. Just a brilliant cast. Never laughed so much in all my life.
Guys and Dolls is not a favourite of mine but I would pay to see this again.
Together with the Triple MMM morning crew and Aussie Olympian basketballer Rachel Sporn. Funny Funny Funny
Well done to my friend Sarah who was just the best Hot Box Dancer, what a standout.

Bravo Fosse
The ego maniac/s who are slamming the cast have gained nothing but disrespect. Come on guys, this is Adelaide. We're not all that huge in the scheme of things. Can we please just stick together and show some support for a frickin great cause?
This has been going on for weeks and we're talking about a 24 HOUR show. Obviously it was pretty memorable.
amateur - "for the love of"
in my opinion this applies to everyone involved in amateur theatre- the cast, the crew, the management and the audience.
There are a lot of amateur critics on this forum who enjoy the sound of their own voices. They will never be pro.
Unlike Cera who will go all the way to the top. And who is far too mature to be offended by all the crap that has infested this forum.
