Adelaide ppl if you didnt see the 24 Hour Show on Sat night you missed out big time.

24 Hour Show at Her Majesty'e Theatre Adelaide raising money for kids with cancer was a Great Show and extremely funny.

It was amazing. Auditions were on Friday night with 130 ppl. They audition everyone selecting cast within 15 min. Rehearsal began immediately. Rehearsal from 8pm to 12am Friday night then back at 8am Sat until end of show.

Guys and Dolls was the musical and no one knew what musical they were doing until all the cast were selected. They performed the whole show. 2 1/2hrs of dialogue, song and dance learnt in 24 hours. The sets were made in 24hrs. The orchestra was selected and the full score mastered in 24 hrs. Lighting and tech in 24 hours.

Yes lines were forgotten but adlibed. Some songs were forgotten but covered up with comedy. Just a brilliant cast. Never laughed so much in all my life.

Guys and Dolls is not a favourite of mine but I would pay to see this again.

Together with the Triple MMM morning crew and Aussie Olympian basketballer Rachel Sporn. Funny Funny Funny

Well done to my friend Sarah who was just the best Hot Box Dancer, what a standout.

Oh wat a shame. You poor thing you obviously missed out. Were you the 10th girl????? Or did you miss out on one of the lead parts.

Negative critiques happen when ppl dont get in or dont get what they want.

But you are entitled to your own opinion.

For actors who know their parts, they forgot alot on the night and the comedy was hilarious.. Actually anyone in musical theatre should know songs, dialogue from most stage shows. I know heaps of dialogue and songs from many and I bet others in MT reading these post would say the same. Most ppl who auditioned hoped it was one they knew. I've been singing dancing and acting since I could walk so whats new. If you study any MT course you familiarise yourself with as many stage shows as you can. But really Who cares. IT WAS RAISING MONEY FOR KIDS WITH CANCER. And thats what was so special about the comedy, the overacting and stand outs. There were a few chorus guys who adlibed and gave it their all. Like the on chore of 'sit down your rockin the boat'. That was unscript, instigated and unrehearsed by a chorus guy. A brilliant job he did. The show was not about up staging the lead roles. It was fun and entertaining and remember this show was for a special purpose. Cast were told to give it their all. Overact, make it fun, entertain the audience.

Life has drawbacks. Everyone has to deal with rejection whether its in front of a live audience or a tv audience like Aust Idol etc. So what.

If your in the theatre game you have to be thick skinned.

I just hope the next is Chicago or Cabaret or Steppin Out etc ect I know them back to front.

Cera is the sweetest girl out and when she is told to perform like she did and give everything to an audience, what more can you want.

Jax is just Jaxed off.
