Sally D & Others....

Wow....I'm really sorry guys... i think i might have started a little bitty spot of cufuffle on this website.... Gosh, i never ever meant to make anyone angry and annoyed. My mum always says that if you don't have anything nice to say then don't say anything at all, and i think that's a great way for us all to make friends.... Gosh, when Stingray went to jail cos his silly billy brother Dylan was naughty, do you think he held a grudge foreva??? lets not all be like Harold and hold grudges on the Paul Robinson's just cos they think and say different things in the "public forum"... Me and Sharon both think that this whole thing is like that time Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake got naughty on stage at those American TV Awards... Yah sure, Janet Jackson made a boob of herself, but, like, gosh, you only have to look at shows like Big Brother, Kath and Kim and The Biggest Loser to see more horrific nudity than that.... Janet is proud of her body and wants everyone to see, and i think that's great! Imagine if she didn't show her boobies on stage, and instead decided to become more "body conscious" like Nicole Ritchie and Lindsay Lohan, and subsequently developed an eating disorder....? I think that way back when Linsay and Nicole first appeared in the "public forum", when people labelled them "fat", they too should have got their boobies out and waved them in the faces of everyone who told them to "trim down" for the Hollywood image... Gosh, when i make it in theatre and get a lead role in Kath and Kim or Neighbours, or a Grease spectacular, I'm not gonna care about people who tell me to "trim down" or "be conservative". I'm going to find that metaphoric stage, stand upon it, and bare my chest and wiggle my bootie until every single member of the self-righteous brigade of successful failures leaves the auditorium dripping in their own sense of humbled silence.

So in response to the previous two posts, I believe that by asking us "annoying MT students" to leave this forum, and fundamentally arguing that this is a "public forum" with no room for "exclusivity" or "closed discourse", you exercise contradictory principles. By asking us to find another avenue of discussion, you are practising the very social mores you deplore... As this is a microcosm of a larger public network, it is unjust and unrealistic to expect a forum without diversity; both in the demonstration of opinions and the acceptance of minority sects. The very nature of a "forum" is the assurance of the right to freedom of speech, free flow of discussion and immunity from prejudice. I do not expect you to alter your social values, and I do not expect to be asked to alter mine.... I say, allow this forum to roll along. Accept there will be differing opinions and congratulate those with the will to speak up. If you don't like something, by all means post your alternative, but refrain from right-wing ambition and never, ever tell someone they should find another forum for their discussion.... Every guest to this site owns just as much validity as the next.

OH and hey, did you guys know that, like, the Aussie Open starts this week!!!! Andy Roddick is sooooo hot! hehe
