I have written a musical comedy and I am seeking advise on how to go about getting the play staged. I have no practical experience in theater, and lack the confidence to act, but enjoy the creativity that amateur dramatics allows. I have received positive reactions from my friends with regard to the play, but I am hoping to interest someone with theatrical experience to give an opinion, and advise on whether or not the play might be suitable to be performed, and if so, how to go about it. Are there any companies that might help in this area? Please contact me denyslunn@hotmail.com if you would like a copy of the script (via email). Your opinion and advice will be much appreciated.

I agree with Jeff! The  production music numbers can always be fleshed & padded out with with dance routines or whatever.  Also I have found that beyond just reading a script, it's best to add at least 3 to 5 minutes per  page. Which alows for staging, movements, laughs &/or applause!

I see your in Bayswater, Garrick is in Guildford wWhich would be a handy ameatre group, as it's just up the road  'n around the corner.
