I need help/advise!

I am hoping to find work as a rehearsal pianist and/or musician in an orchestra in any musical. Where should I go? What are my chances? Are rehearsal pianists in great demand or are there too many of us and not enough work? I havent had any experience, but I have been classically trained for 15 years and have done years of accompanying.
Also when they say they are an ameateur musical company, does that mean no one (actors/ musicians) gets paid?
Should I do payless musical work, just for the experience before I go to England?

In perth, my understanding is that there are always people looking for rehearsal pianists.
I'm not sure where to look though? maybe check the upcoming shows/auditions lists and contact the company putting it on.
Alternatively, simply find all the companies in your area/city and contact them all with your details so they can contact you when needed.
My understanding is that most companies would (and should) pay a rehearsal accompanist, even if not standard rates.
