Dear all

I am taking the extraordinary step of locking this particular thread from further comments.

I don't accept the claims made alleging defamation but it is a policy of this site to act to address such complaints by removing specific material that is the subject of the complaint - indicating the source and nature of the complaint. I'd be pleased to continue discussion of this policy on another thread if people are so inclined.

Please bear in mind the site's conditions of use, in particular where responsibility lies for messages posted on the site and the requirement to respect this space and each other before resuming any similar or related discussion.
