Don'tpay for a photo shoot with an agency. Don't pay to be put on an agencies books. Pick your agent in accordance with what you want to do. Agencies/agents will all have different reutations and contacts. Do a bit of research, find out what sort of actors are with these agencies. Do you want to do TV, Film, Theatre, Musical Theatre, work internationally...? The only thing you need to pay for is some decent headshots (get some coloured shots too... some casting directors arerequesting them now) nd Showcast, that's useful... Good Luck. x
