chasers war on everything

I agree; I don't like their methods, and they aren't challenging the status quo. It's just a sad reminder that we, as a country, don't challenge things on a national level like we used to. We need more aggressive journalism, not more aggressive stuntmen. We need more in-depth coverage of news on commercial channels, not just 'Paris Hilton gets released from jail'. I've actually started watching the Newshour with Jim Lehrer (sp?) on SBS to get my news. Even though it's all American, I find I get more informed news and discussion than I would on any ABC current affairs/news show. Which is sad in itself. All I'm saying is that the show (The Chaser) is indicative of a larger problem of stifling our debate and discussion on the important topics of the day.
