Hey
I saw the Rockdale RENT yesterday and it was awesome! It really was a lot of fun and most of the cast were very strong vocally.

I was wondering if anyone has seen the Penrith performance. Is it worth seeing? As good as Rockdale?

Thanks!

God why, unless you were getting hugh sums of money and the producer demanded it, would you want to bore you and your cast and hopefully your audience, but stuffing everybody's creative insticts in the hopper.
if they want that they can rent the rent cd. blow them away, ain't no reason in the world that you can't make better theatre than the new york crew. trust your actors creativity and your creativity and fly baby fly. if we were supposed to be bean bags to be tossed where somebody else told us to toss ourselves we would never have any fun.

I have to repost this after reading the other comment sent. I urge you to throw everything you know about the show out the window completely, and instruct your actors to do the same. All that history, no matter how good it might have been, was not creativity that came out of you and your crew. The name of the game to me is i don't need any tips, clues or whispers from the past to tell me how to create a role/show. I just want to roll up my sleves and go as deep as i can and drag out ever drop of creativity i got and demand the same from everybody i'm working with. you do that and anybody doesn't like it, well we have a saying in new york "F**k em' if they can't take a joke."
