RENT at rockdale or penrith?
Sun, 25 Sept 2005, 02:30 pmHey
I saw the Rockdale RENT yesterday and it was awesome! It really was a lot of fun and most of the cast were very strong vocally.
I was wondering if anyone has seen the Penrith performance. Is it worth seeing? As good as Rockdale?
Thanks!

Some people are meant to be performers on stage, the rest are meant to be critics in the audience. Most critics just don't have the balls to say what they really think.
Am I not entitled to voice my opinion? Or can I only speak after I have *paid* my WAAPA fees?
If you can't take criticism, you will never grow as a performer/choreographer (I noticed this in the program).
Yes I may have been a tad bitchy with my comments (I certainly did not mean to cast aspersions on anyone's race and deeply apologise if i have, but the comment still stands if you remove the word Pilipino - the comment is about his portrayal, not his race) but it's how I truly felt about all 3 productions. I'm not one to dull down my comments after time - this is how i felt while I was actually sitting in the audiences, watching the shows.
Look - overall, Rent at Canberra and Penrith were both very good shows - however there were things in all 3 productions that I didn't like.
Congratulations on a good show and I hope you keep growing.
