Audition for musicals...HELP!!!
Wed, 13 Nov 2002, 08:20 amhi everyone! i just had a few questions cause i'm auditioning for a youth theatre musical this weekend.
What is expected of you in the audition?
How good a singer/dancer do you have to be??
What sort of a song are you expected to do for callbacks?
How much should you 'be in charecter' for role that you want to be if there is no dialogue, just 16 bars of a song?
If you can't reach some of the notes should I just sing lower, or try to reach them, even if it sounds wrong?
Thanks for any help you could give me and e-mail me on drama_princess169@hotmail.com or mcstarlet66@hotmail.com

Actually maybe "Barnum" was the last musical I saw you in, not sure which was first.... anyway that's fantastic news about "The Lion King"! Mega chookas to you. Keep us posted.
Best wishes
