for school we have to choose an Australian Play, and my group and i are interested in doing a musical, so do you know any Aussie Musical's?

The oldest extant Australian Play, "The Currency Lass", is actually a musical, and has been published by Currency Press
Other important/well known musicals include:
The Sentimental Bloke
The Good Fight
The Prodigal - New York Cast Recording available of this one
Eurobeat
Paris
and of course the jukebox musicals:
Shout!
Boy from Oz
Priscilla
or if you're really brave, the operas "Voss" and "Summer of the Seventeenth Doll" were both released on Video (not yet DVD)
