hi everyone, i wanted to create a whole new thread for stephanie carswell as we've been taking about her in a wicked thread and i think she deserves her own! apparently she might be coming back to australia to do glinda in wicked in melbourne, so let's see what people know about her and what they think. i saw her in a show in london which is where she is atm and she was really really good and really really nice to me to me outside the theatre too which is always nice i think! anywayz she has some wicked songs on her website and someone says they were from when she was glinda in a royal show or something in london. has anyone else seen her in anything in either england or australia? i really want her to be glinda!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just wanted to say that every company can be glad to have Steph as a cast member. She is very enthusiastic, bubbliest person I ever met, and a real team player. Regarding Star EFX, professionals DO take part in these shows and realize what a big mistake it was. The producers go on about the West End standard and can't even fulfill the standards of a high school production. Star EFX give leads to people who cannot manage them and it looks very amateur. For them, you are just a money-machine and they don't care about your performance, vocal range or suitability. So much for the West End standard!!! I can say that Steph was given the a very low song to perform ("Beauty and the Beast", not "Belle") and although was promised a transposed version by the directors, never received one. This is what the supposed "diva strop" was over. Steph is a great vocalist and I can't wait to see her as Glinda in the Wicked section of the touring Variety Gala opening next year in Liverpool. I wish her all the best of luck with her career. Danver
