A double page ad that appeared in LAst monday March 5 US "Daily Variety" magazine, featured currently boxoffice take for Wicked, but also mentioned That for 2008 it was opening in Australia & Holland. for 2007 Germany & Japan were listed. So far the only other things I've come across for Wicked related to the on/off about it coming to Australia.

it's Also Poted on the Wicked wikiapedia page...that it is confirmed for an australia run....YAY....i love wicked....i think my aunty mentioned she auditioning for it...or was that hairspray...oh well she goin for one of them....lol .:. Rent~Shout~Avenue-Q~Prscilla~Wicked~Hairspray~Oklahoma best musicals ever.:.
