Yes i am another one who is just about to complete the course. The great thing about this course is that the teachers, even though they are industry professionals, really understand where we are coming from and try to help us in any way they can. Take Hayden Tee for example. He is not that much older than us so he is able to give us advice about what the industry is looking for in young adults and how to go about landing a job. Not to mention this course is great for making connections. I would not be where i am today (which is a long way away from where i was at the start of the year) if it wasn't for this course. Daz and Linda really care about their students and give us the encouragement and advice to get where we want to be. Another great thing we are taught at Sing Over King is how to devise our own work (cabarets etc), which is so so important in this industry. Mid way through the year we constructed and performed our own cabarets to an audience. This was extreamly challenging but the knowledge and experience i have gained from doing it is absolutely amazing. We are taught audition techniques that will forever help me and already have!! I have not got a bad thing to say about CODA, except that it should get more recognition for being one of the best year long courses Australia has to offer! If you want proof just come to our showcase. Each student is so individual and unique, i don't think there is another course in Australia like this and i am so lucky to have been able to spend a year working on my craft at this fantastic school!! A huge thanks to Darren and Linda and all the other fabulous teachers that have helped me and the rest of our class throughout the year :)
