It is so if you think it's so

"Don’t worry about people being influenced by silly things like facts:)lol speculate all you want" I'll be the first one to post information provided by a third-party - whether it's good or bad - about ATM. I have not found any yet, only posts from happy clients, unhappy clients, and the company itself. I'd love to have some info from a non-interested party. And I'd still like to get an answer - are you an agency, or are you a subscription service? Or do you not make a definition? (By the way, does Allied Talent Management have a website... I couldn't find you or the company anywhere... but the address is correct, because that's what's listed on the Aus. site) I did not start this thread, nor the other one. I have no doubt that perhaps some of the posts were from your competition - I may be naive, but I prefer to believe that these people are telling the truth. I, and others, responded with that belief, and provided useful information on actors' rights when dealing with agencies. If you don't want actors to know about MEAA, Fair Trade, or other such organisations... "This website seems to be allowing small local somewhat backward agencies to be posting slanderous comments on this website about the ATM group. " Grant, the site admin, has a policy of free speech. He can and has removed posts which he has been informed of their slanderous properties; otherwise, they stay. Feel free to contact him. "My issue with you is credibility or lack of it on your part." Feel free to state what exactly is bothering you about my credibility. I have no ties to any agency. I am not an actress. I work for no arts institution at this time, except on my own productions. I find it incredible that you think it is slanderous to advise people to a) read the information provided on both sides of the aisle, b) read and be informed about the rights of an actor, and the expectations of an agency, and c) follow up if there are any concerns (which is a customer's right). Here are a couple of my posts from the other thread: "Whoa, you're getting ahead of yourself there... how about we find some actual comments from people who have used the service, or have heard about it. Let's not tar every agency with the same brush - let's get some proof about its legitimacy/suspiciousness first." "I'm not saying that ATM is or isn't legit. I'm just saying that you should never take something for granted, and you should always do your research before signing up with an agency. " Does anyone actually read what I write, or do they prefer to put words in my mouth? Or were those posts also slanderous? You will see that I have neither defended ATM, nor outright supported the complainants. "The tide is coming in and we have worldwide connections and a huge budget." If that is a threat, by all means... I'm sticking by what I wrote, and I'm not scared of your 'connections' or your budget. :) In case you haven't noticed, I have been encouraging people to stop posting to this thread. There is no longer any use in this debate, no new information has been provided, and the topic has been covered to death. I am going to ask Grant to lock this thread. (I did have a couple of other points to my argument, but unfortunately, had to write the post over again due to the page timing out. However, the salient details are here. PS. the title of the post refers to an Italian playwright, who did not believe in fact, only truth as it is perceived by each person) Sticky Apple Legs www.freewebs.com/stickyapplelegs Puppets in Melbourne www.thepromptcopy.com/pip My puppets www.collectzing.com/collection/137/
