Stuart Little, I think you'll find that on practically EVERY forum site and other community-based/run website, there will be a Terms and Conditions page, that includes information about how the site administration is NOT responsible or liable for posts written by other people. It is standard legalise; and perhaps next time you join a site, you should read the T&C carefully. No, they don't think themselves immune: they just believe that people should be personally held liable for what they contribute.
