Lighting Programs

My college has just found sme extra money for our auditorium and we have decided to update our lighting design system from pencil and paper to moveable computer and we are looking for a lighting professional yet cheap (meh schools) lighting program inwhich to run a rig map etc does anyone know of any good ones?? Walter Plinge

I've been using a cracked version of WYSIWYG for a couple of years now. The education version is quite cheap. It's a far more sophisticated bit of kit than Vectorworks and has excellent 3D capabilities.I tend to work on the set and the building in Vectorworks, then export it into WYSIWYG to do the lighting.
