hello,

sorry, but this is another WAAPA question (hey it's just that time of year!).

For musical theatre, (certificate and BA), we are required to perform one balled and one contemporary piece of music from music theatre repertoire.

If the two pieces are from different shows, does it matter if both shows are by Stephen Sondheim?
or would it be better to change that too?

thank-you,
Laura

hi,
i'd be inclined to agree with LJ. two sondheims may seem a little...full on. however, the panel of any audition are able to tell if they like you within the first few bars of a song, so if you sing it well, the choice of song really isn't too much of an issue.
if you sing them well, and you're confident in your ability, you'll be fine.
cheers
