hello,

sorry, but this is another WAAPA question (hey it's just that time of year!).

For musical theatre, (certificate and BA), we are required to perform one balled and one contemporary piece of music from music theatre repertoire.

If the two pieces are from different shows, does it matter if both shows are by Stephen Sondheim?
or would it be better to change that too?

thank-you,
Laura

hi laura,
look i probably woulodnt recommend doing two sondheim songs because you want to show the panel that you have and know a broad knowledge of music/writers. It depends though whether your doing something from 'Follies' and then 'Sweeney Todd' because there's quite a bit of difference there. Have a think about it, i'm sure your the best judge of whether they contrast.

Hope that helps!
