Hi guys

I just heard that there are auditions currently on for Grease (professional production).

Richard Wilkins from telly was saying that these auditions have already begun.

If that is true does anyone know any information??

And a splendid job you're doing of this too! Great to see the fresh polls rolling over. Although did I miss the commentary on the last one?

I've encouraged the ITA to bring discussion about what we should be doing with the website here, online. While this project may have originated as an ITA initiative, it's grown far beyond the capacity of the ITA to manage the project singlehandedly and the committee is far from representative of the 1600 people visiting every day. This means its all the more important to get suggestions for what we should be doing recorded _and_ discussed here.

I can tell you that as soon as an FAQ is close to ready, I'll start filtering for teens googling for audition and modelling opportunities and including prominent notices for them encouraging them to read the FAQ rather than disrupting the site with more "me too" posts.

Some time back (almost two years ago!) I pointed people to http://web.theatre.asn.au suggesting this as a new (but alas empty) framework for the site. This framework is in an easy to use content management system (CMS) that allows practically anyone able to use a web browser to update web pages. Sadly, no-one's yet taken up the possibility of populating any portion of this framework with useful content.

I can understand why. When it's sitting there empty it looks very ambitious. But even if we could just get a couple of areas populated and only publish the bits that have content, it would get the ball rolling.

This next vital stage of development is going to require much more collaboration between diverse groups of people - much of which will probably need to be done offline. It's a big leap, and I've been struggling to find the time to properly kickstart it.

My offer to come round and give you a few tips to get started still stands!

:-)
