Hi Mr B. I'm glad you seem to think I 'rule' in a previous post; I get a bit more leverage to disagree with you this time around. While trying so hard to be unsympathetic, you are leaning toward being misguided.

First, you have no basis for supposing that 'Fair Go' is NOT good enough, as indeed they may already be working professionally..? So your conclusion doesn't logically follow.

Second....'totally off the subject'?? Hello! Wasn't it YOU who posted the first reply to this thread by saying, "First of all learn how to spell, then get some education about how to write a proper sentence."..?! If that's not steering the subject toward education, I must need to brush up on my comprehension skills.

And thirdly, I tend to think 'fair go' makes a decent point. Kids today communicate via the written word FAR more often then I ever did when I was a teenager and didn't have email, SMS, or even a word processor. And yet with all this practice, how come no one today seems to have any literacy skills? How does our education system allow kids to graduate to tertiary level when they still can't spell...even with easy access to spellcheckers and online dictionaries..??

Cheers,
Craig
