LaSalle Singapore
Thu, 28 Dec 2006, 12:57 pmHey just wondering if anyone knows anything about the LaSalle course in Singapore for Musical theatre. I read their web-page but was wanting a little more information. Anyone going there next year? Does anyone know what the course is like and whether its worth going for? Any opinions / insights welcome.
Cheers!

Asta:
I am studying MT @ Lasalle and Im not sure if Starbuck is talking about the same place because we had Dennis Follington who set up the WAAPA course up until this year and now we have Tony McGill as our head and he is amazing. All of the international teachers and guest directors are amazing not to mention the workshops we have with leading Broadway and West End performers.
The Facilities are not the best @ the moment, but we are moving into our new campus (also check out the Lasalle website its amazing!) in April 2007.
The course is pretty much identical to the WAAPA course as Dennis set it up and the performers in all three years are incredibly talented. It is incredibly hard work not only with the course but moving to another country, but if you can get past the first semester unlike some others who havent worked hard enough then you will find it very rewarding, challenging and fulfilling.
It is a fantastic option if you are willing to look outside Australia.
Hope this helps.
