In response I feel it all depends on how much you value the quality of your craft.... A course is designed not only to get you work in the industry, but also to provide you with a clear understanding of how and why a performer operates and how to best maximise one's potential to achieve a higher level of skill. It is naive to say that 6 months of work in Phantom will grant you access into the next musical to hit our shores... which, by the way will either be Billy Elliot or Mary Poppins. (Vastly different styles to Phantom) You must look at the long term viability of jumping straight into work and ignoring formal training... I guess at the end of the day it is only you who can decide what will be best for you... I wish you all the very best for whatever you choose to accept...
