Hey everyone, I just wanted to ask if anybody knows when the auditions will be for Phantom of the Opera? I heard it will be performed in July next year with Anthony Warlow playing the Phantom. If anyone knows anything about how the show will be cast or other details it would be very much appreciated if you were able to reply. Thanks a lot! xox

Ladies and gents, if indeed Mr Warlow is in this production (I plead the ignorance of one who has been too busy) my guess is that it is a major professional production. As such, they will not be allowing just anyone interested to audition. They will approach the reputable and well-known agencies, and those agencies will be sorting through their books to find the right people to audition. The only other way it might have happened is if they advertised in the major papers, in which case you would all already know how to audition. Basically- if you don't have an agent or haven't been chased yet, I'm sorry but it won't be happening this time. I don't want to be the grumpy-pants of the thread, but people have to understand that these big pro shows are too expensive and risky to let anyone who 'likes the show' to have a go. As a pro performer I get a little annoyed that so many think it's as easy as liking it and wanting it. Get your runs on the board in smaller shows and do your apprenticeship, then you'll be ready for the next big chance when it comes along! Neville It's the simple things stupid...
