I have my WAAPA audition in about three weeks and would love any advice. My singing teacher is a pop teacher so i feel a bit alone. So any advice from song choice to what i wear would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! Rachel

Know your pieces

With 3 weeks to go, I would recommend getting to know your audition pieces...WELL. I assume you're auditioning for Music Theatre, so in terms of what to wear... something that you're comfortable in. I wouldn't recommend anything overly showy or too much make up - you certainly don't need to wear dance wear/shoes unless you're invited for the dance callback. Make sure your pieces are binded together in a way that makes it easier for the accompanist to flip pages (masking tape is generally recommended and not files with plastic sleeves which reflect) and mark it up clearly with any dynamics, tempo etc. Be friendly, be yourself, and have fun!
