Looking for Buddy Holly
Sat, 24 June 2006, 01:14 pmHi. Canterbury Theatre Guild are staging the Buddy Holly Story at the Tom Mann theatre in Surry Hills this November. Casting is almost complete but we are still seeking a suitable actor for the lead role of Buddy Holly. You should be mid 20's or early 30's, good acting ability, be able to sing like Buddy and preferably be a reasonable electric guitarist. This is the role of a lifetime for the right person as Buddy sings 14 songs and is on stage virtually the entire show. Auditions scheduled for Wed July 5th. Just want to say, I saw Scott in Buddy. He is amazing. You want him. Honestly. He is the closest thing to real Buddy Holly you can get. Hope the production goes well!
