About a month ago I installed Windows 7 and since then I haven't been able to format my reviews properly. I have tried doc and docx. neither worked.

The article looked good in the writing box but the preview never came out like the box layout.

I have used Firefox, Internet Explorer and Google Chrome none worked well. Often I tried to submit my review only to be told it contained less than 10 words - when it actually had 500. When I went back from the preview the whole article would have disappeared.

Has anyone any suggestions plase?

Gordon, I have to agree. It appears the present version of Office does not convert to RTF while on screen. It seems that when you are using Word, it creates the extra MS Coding anyway, regardless of the format, so the issue becomes copying and pasting from Word itself.

One other method I have used in the past to great effect is to Copy from word, Paste to the Body box while it is NOT in Rich-Text mode. This pastes the document in PURE TEXT stripping all of the MS code out. You then Copy the text from the Body box, switch to Rich-Text mode and paste again. You can then apply formatting.

This is very much the same as copying from Word to NotePad (as mentioned by another), then from NotePad to ANY WEB PAGE, not just this site. Either option is a sure fire method of stripping MS Code.

In this case, you can thank MS for their unecessary HTML coding for making this a complicated task.
