Call for Productions!

Hello Walter, RE: “Drop the mayor and councillors a line and tell them” Norma, you are welcome to let the councillors know your concern, that is what they are there for. However, we also encourage you to work with us, and communicate your concerns to us as well. The more constructive feedback we get, the better we can plan for future initiatives. RE: “Good one Stirling - give us only 10 days to respond…” We apologise for the short notice, some factors have recently changed, and the event has been brought forward. If you would like to submit an idea, and are concerned about the lead time associated with this project, perhaps you could consider our other projects, such as our current call for Expressions for our Festival. This has been open since 21 June. This deadline has also recently been extended and the new closure date will be updated on our website soon. I will also be posting this updated information on this forum soon too. “Basically, a short written proposal” “Yes, I believe there are thousands of theatre groups out there with a rehearsed play, actors and crew on standby just waiting for your call...” All we’ve asked for at this stage is a paragraph of information and that the applicant can demonstrate they have the experience to execute it. We don’t need a crew or actors to be on ‘standby’, but we do want to know that you have the experience or networks to be able to source these people. We don’t need a fully rehearsed production either, but if there is a production that has already had a successful run, we’re encouraging groups to submit it again as part of this project, giving it another opportunity for exposure to a new audience. Alternatively, if you do not want to work within the constraints of the opportunities we have presented, as mentioned in Norma’s post, you are welcome to apply for our cultural development funding (providing you belong to a non-for-profit group and the project occurs within the City of Stirling).
