Hi There, I am currently considering becoming a Makeup Artist. I wanted to know what was the best course to do and what school is the best to do it at. I have been looking at doing the Certificate IV then maybe in a few years doing the Diploma. The courses at the better schools are SO expensive so i want to know i'm doing the right one before forking out all that money. Also if you could tell me what it's like once im qualified, is it a hard industry to get in to once i'm done and is there any money to be made? Anyways ANY advice would be so helpful! Thanks so much! x x x

Hi

Hi I recommend Swinburne 1 year Diploma full time, they teach you everything so you are well rounded and more than a beauty makeup artist. Also they do not go behind a big commercial makeup brand name which means they got a realistic view against any products used etc. I would do a full time course rather than a cert, yes it is a hard industry to get in too, it all depends what you want to do!! The money is in the bridal industry it is harder to work as a free lancer getting in to the fashion and film industry. But it is for the love of the art!! Hope that helped a bit!!!
