Hello down there! Seeking an Australian partner for a unique theatre project scheduled for late January 2011. This is part of the Tokyo International Players' Second Stage Series, and will suit a black box type theatre, location anywhere in Australia. The ideal partner will have proven production experience and connections with an established performance space, actors and crew etc. Please contact me via PM or eMail for further information. Thanks!

My comments still stand:

My comments still stand: whether it's a one man show or not, you're still bringing a show from overseas (and as part of a voluntary group no less). You're best bet is to approach Australian venues and submit a proposal. That's what we do here (or simply pay money and hire out a venue), it's not going to be much different from you, except for the need to spend money to get yourselves over here. Logos makes a good suggestion: many overseas performers come over to participate in the numerous festivals (Adelaide Fringe, Melbourne Comedy, Melbourne Fringe, etc), for which you will be able to find information on their websites specifically for people who want to know how to be involved. Lastly, and most importantly, as I said before this is largely an amateur website and the members here likely don't have experience bringing overseas shows to our shores. However, government and Asialink style programs are specifically set up to connect Australian groups with overseas ones and arrange the exchanges. There are other sites out there that might be of more use: Artshub.com.au comes to mind. You also don't state where you'd like to come and perform, each state and city has a different performance scene and some areas might be easier to perform in than others. I'm assuming you don't actually know where you'd like to come, so might I suggest researching the above festivals as they are probably the best places anyway - if you come during festival time or not. Making contact with companies that are here that specifically cater for a Japanese audience in Australia is a good idea too. They are more likely to want to create a link with an overseas company and would be more likely to assist you in bringing your show over.
