Dodgy agent?
Mon, 23 Mar 2009, 05:22 pmI have been contacted by an agency called Australian Talent Management. Does anyone know of it? Is it a reputable company?
I'm just starting as an extra and don't really know how things are done. They are offering to do a photo shoot to put together a portfolio for me and charging me $199 for the shoot (my own make-up and clothes) plus $20 for a CD of all my photos. They want the $199 now, or paid on the day. Is this normal? I'd rather pay it after i've seen the photos, or better, taken out of my pay. How is this sort of thing usually done? I'd really appreciate some advice!
No worries. I'd write more

Suffice to say that there is enough info in the FAQ that you should be able to reasonably work out a dodgy agent from a good one; don't forget, you're hiring them as much as they are hiring you!
