WAAPA Foundation Course.

Hi Hayley, I did the course last year and I highly recommend it. The youngest in our class was a 16-year-old girl and she managed the content just fine. We had various levels of experience in the class as well, and it's a massive testament to Tamara (the teacher) that everyone was able to work on their own strengths and weaknesses and get different things out of it. If you're unsure then I definitely think you should give WAAPA a call and discuss it with the teacher - we had Tamara Cook; I'm guessing she might be taking the course again this year. She should be able to judge if you're ready to take the course. I mean, there's certainly no harm in giving it a shot, but it's a fairly big time and financial commitment and you might be better off waiting a couple of years until you have a bit more experience behind you, and you may get more out of it. Having said that, you may be streets ahead of others your age in ability and confidence, and ready to train at that level.
