Finally! We move into Subiaco Arts Centre at 8am tomorrow.
Finally, we get to rehearse on the stage we will be using instead of a tiny little room with not enough room to swing a cat (should anyone want to swing one), and by the end of the day we will have a set, lighting, sound, costumes, and no doubt a completely new set of blocking!
Its hard to believe that after all these weeks of making do, we will finally have three marvellous/hellish days to make it all work on the actual stage.
Of course, it will not help a lot (in one sense) that we will be being filmed by the Stateline crew for - I am told - a probable 3hours on Tuesday. In another sense of course, it will probably help a lot.
We have had very little effective publicity - through no fault of our own - so every scrap we can scrape up has to help. The show goes to air on ABC Channel 1 on Friday. Please watch it, then come to see the show.
In the meantime we would very much appreciate it if you would, each and everyone of you, cross your fingers/eyes/toes, spit on your thumbs, burn candles, or mutter incantations -- whatever works to bring good luck in your opinion.
Please, please, come and see the show.
Cheers, Sue.
