Well, I don't know about why they had to cancel but it is a fairly weak show. There is some decent talent there but it's hampered by poor direction and lack of a decent sized chorus. It seemed more like a rehearsal in parts than an actual show...

I played in the show and as far as I knowthe show ran the full published season.
The audiences enjoyed the show.
Maybe the staging was a bit light (my daughter said the 'big library' was a bit unbelieveable with only a sigle bookshelf).
To be fair it was the first non professional staging of the show in NSW and it did not have the budget of Disney.
Other productions will probably learn from this one.
