A Reserve tickets are $249.00. B Reserve tickets are $149.00 while C Reserve tickets are $99.00.

Surely it has to be some kind of religious experience to be charging that much...

Re: Boy from Oz ticket prices...

The prices are ridiculous but they will fill seats.

Are you quoting NZ prices Baron cos you are lucky, in Adelaide the prices are,

Premium $575,

A reserve $285

B Reserve $175

C Reserve $115

Showbiz sent me the prices yesterday

How many ppl will be taking the whole family, its just not affordable

Re: Boy from Oz ticket prices...

Apparently its a huuuge production, far bigger than the Broadway version, although I have to agree its a little pricey. I think a bigger shame is that it's not coming to Perth, and those of us who are keen to see it will have to fork out an extra $400 for a plane ticket.....

Re: Boy from Oz ticket prices...

i'm also annoyed it's not coming to Perth as i would love to see Hugh as Peter Allen - although i did read in the Sydney Morning Herald yesterday that there is still a possibility they'll bring it here? Wonder where they'd house a production that big though - maybe the Dome?

Re: Boy from Oz ticket prices...

The prices I mentioned are from broadwayaustralia.com

Maybe showbiz adds extra on? Or maybe the prices have generally increased.

Re: Boy from Oz ticket prices...

Or maybe thats because I received the VIP pre sale ticket info by email saying the pre sale is on now . Are tickets on sale everywhere yet??

Just wondering if its a con to get more money, making me think Im getting something special and Im not. Haven't booked yet.

I feel sorry for all you Perth ppl. I always thought it was Adelaide that missed out.

You would think that cos he studied at WAAPA it would be the place they would want to take the show, but obviously not.

Re: Boy from Oz ticket prices...

The reason why the Boy from Oz isn't soming to Perth is because we don't have a big enough venue. Yes we do have the Burswood theatre but I heard the show is being re-vamped into an arena spectacular so a normal theatre wouldn't be suitable.
The show was going to be put on at the Burswood dome, which would have worked but becuse the roof can't be blacked out for matenees they decided not to bring the show to Perth...........Oh well I guess we are all use to these types of dissapointments here in Perth now.

Re: Boy from Oz ticket prices...

I guess any cast recording will be sold for 100 bucks. And programmes would have to be 80.

Re: Boy from Oz ticket prices...

I would really like to see this musical

but I'm not a fan of 'Arena' shows.

I'd rather pay the air fare and travel to Sydney to watch it.. and we usually end up with celebs who can't sing in all the cameo roles

To be fair the cast list I saw doesn't seem to have any passengers.

Re: Boy from Oz ticket prices...

I was really dissapointed about the boy from oz not coming to perth. i'nm such a big hugh jackman fan. gotta love that guy. i guess if he could, he would bring the show to perth, but coz like u sed, we dont have a good enough venue to put it on seeing as now its a big arena spectacular.

if i had the money, i'd go over east and see it, or better yet, i would have gone to america to see iton broadway. hehe.

one day perth will get a better venue to accomodate all these shows and performers.

Burswood. . . . .

The show may be great but not for $249 plus a booking fee and also the fact that its an arena show though not even planned out as an arena event in the steating plans. Perth now has the show but good luck getting the audience!

BFO in Perth

From what I saw this morning there will be no problem selling those tickets. It was a big rush. I'm so excited to be seeing the show.
Walter PlingeTue, 18 July 2006, 04:40 pm

The first two shows in

The first two shows in Perth are nearly sold out, a third show added. In Perth we are lucky because tickets are alot cheaper. there is no premium, so you can sit up the front while only paying a- reserve prices (a reserve is only $199, $50-85 cheaper that every where else).

I'm going. I don't care how

I'm going. I don't care how much it costs. I want to see Huge Jackman (no that's not a typo) in the only Australian musical to make it to Broadway.

GO!!!

I saw the Sydney shows on Friday and Saturday night. It is, as someone said, HUUUUGE. 2hr 15 mins. The atmosphere was electric before Hugh made his spectacular entrance. The Rockettes chorus line was worth the ticket price. Don't worry about not being able to see. I'm not a fan of arena productions either, but this is a fully staged version and there are 2 levels. Stage, just above head height in the stalls, and the 25 piece orchestra above that. Behind them is a huge projection screen, and off to both sides hang large video screens giving close-ups throughout. My companions and I reckon it was worth the trip from Rockhampton - even better at the Sydney Entertainment Centre because we were in the Holiday Inn just across the street. If we went to Brisbane, the Entertainment Centre is way out in the bush and devoid of any accommodation in the area.
