Hi Bj,
Im not a first year. actually 3rd yeaer MT but I can tell you that most of us are returning in the last week of January, so there will be a lot of gatherings and parties going on at this time.
You won't be lonely at all.

Maybe you didn't realise this, but there are actually one or two people here (in Perth) already. The Eastern states don't represent the entire Australian population...

There are a few 1st years from Perth too!! We are keen to meet everyone so make sure you ring us Perthies when you get here cos we're not going anywhere!

depends if u already have a house or not? if u do then that's fine.. if u dont.... u could get there a bit earlier!

Assuming you already have a place to live, if you come over here a week or two before o-week to get settled then you'll be fine. There's heaps of people having meet-ups and gatherings and such before uni starts so you can get all comfy in Perth!
ps. Get ready for heaps of parties while you're here, and stock up on costumes for them!
