Bobo,

bobo not stupid.... the title "Concert Musical" basically meant minimal sets, minimal blocking and an excuse to combine the best of all the different versions of Chess.... oh, and to have a choir on stage... most concert versions will just be a "stand and sing" (in costume) with hand held or stand mics... for instance in the Les Mis in concert.... although when they did Sweeny Todd the musical it was as Chess was done with the actors acting it out in minimal costumes, sets and props..... I take it that you're refering to the WAAPA version of Chess, so in that, when they played chess, instead of having a chess board, it was mimed... this may have been done in the full version but I wouldn't know....

Bobo still have friend.... it confusing if just seen this one version of "Concert musical".....
