I'm sorry to hear that your daughter didn't get into the Arts Academy...sounded like she would have been a shoe in! From what I see of the course outline at CQU it looks great - different to Ballarat in a number of areas and a bit more flexible with electives from 2nd year. Add to that the individual singing lessons and being a part of a full production in first year, and she could be quite happy. Distance is a bit of an issue, but being too close is as much of a problem when they can't decide if it's the right place to be! You're right about the weather too; Ballarat had snow this year.
