Please dont be sad yet. Some BA people only found out today and they started ringing last Thursday.

Well done to all the people who have recieved places in WAAPA this year. I auditioned and didn't get in but the people who got in are an inspiration for me to keep working and to keep trying every year. I found the audition panel were very constructive in their comments too and I greatly appreciate that.

Well done everyone who got in WAAPA BA and Cert courses.
I hear that Adelaide has at least 3 ppl in this year, Alex (male), Jessi and Sophie.
I think they are all 18 and only Jessi is not straight out of school. Just wondering about the 22 yo who got the call back, if she is in too?? Anyone know.
This is excellent for Adelaide, we dont feel like we have been left behind now.

Good news
Shows how info gets confused... the girl helping at the auditions told us there were only 2 callbacks... maybe that was for the three year course

Lovelee, any idea what the phone number was that called you to let you know you're in? Even just the first 4 digits...
I missed a call on my phone but when I called it back there was no answer.

Beth, the first four digits of telephone numbers for WAAPA staff are 9370.... It's insane I even know this info? It's like an obsession or something. I've been screening all my missed calls closely too cos I work full time during the day.
The suspense is driving me bloody crazy...
Have any Perth auditionees for the Certificate course heard they've been successful yet?? They told me the end of this week. *bites nails* only 3 days to go...

I am a Perth person and the number they called me on was "withheld..."

Aeva is right 9370 was the first four digits but it came up as silent no. on my mobile. They left a message to ring them thats how I know the number. Did I say before that maybe they are ringing interstate people first and WA people later. They probably want to see who infact will accept the offer and making the trip over to WA. My theory anyway

Not necessarily... I'm in Perth and I was told on Monday that I was successful for certificate, as were at least five other people I know (also all from Perth).

Yes I got my call Monday too. My theory isn't much good then, I was just hopeful for aeva and beth.

I guess it's safe to assume they've made all their offers for the MT Bach and Cert now. Never mind, better luck next year eh? ;) I hope all the successful candidates have an awesome year/3 years... you guys should be proud of yourselves. I know a lot of people would love to be in your (dancing) shoes!

Im sorry aeva if you didnt get in. Dont loose heart. I really recommend you do the Explore Music Theatre Course at WAAPA. Please look into it. Some of the guys on the panel take the classes, it was just the best. The more your seen the better. Good Luck

For all you Adelaide people - Jessi is around 24 not 18. She just looks young, she will like you Polly. I heard she got in the Cert.
Alex got in the BA. He tried out last year but they said he was too young but encourage him to come back and he's in.
Sophie finished school 2 weeks ago and got the Cert Course.
Seems like Sydney got quite a few in.
