Hi,

I've just moved to Perth from NSW and am trying to find local amateur theatre groups. I'm interested in groups that do musicals as I have done this previously back home.

Can anyone help me with this?

Thanks
Ron

Re: AMATEUR THEATRE IN PERTH

Hi Ron

This site has all the resources you need already there. Go to the 'Whats on' icon at the top of the page and select 'auditions', then filter for WA. This will give you a list of current auditions for local shows. The other option is to go to the 'companies' icon, and select 'view company WA'.

Either way, you should be able to find a theatre group near you. Have fun.

You're at the best place already. Some companies you may wish to approach:
Playlovers
Old Mill Theatre Theatre Co
Gilbert & Sullivan Society
Stirling Players
Garrick
KADS (Kalamunda Somethingorother)
Prompt Corner
Melville Theatre Co

Or Phoenix Theatre. We are a new group in Perth based in Hamilton Hill. We haven't done a musical yet but it is a possiblity for next year. Our third production opens next week on 10th November, a comedy called Double Up. Come and see us, you would be warmly welcomed.

There's never a dull moment during the Liverpool International Theatre Festival. The LITF Committee invite you to plan now to enjoy the world on stage in Liverpool. Subscription and Delegate packages are available through the Astor Theatre box office.

Awards for outstanding production, as well as acting and technical awards are presented on the final night. Theatre workshops, coffee critiques, nightly cabarets, along with the wonderful plays, presented by theatre groups from around the world daily, ensure that you will have a great experience.Log on to www.litf.ca for more details
