WICKED CASTING!

i really hope wicked comes to Australia :) does anyone know if it is definatley coming out here? and how can we get our Idina to cast in it ?? lets discuss. i dunno who can pull it off.

I doubt we will see a production of this show anytime in the immediate future. Not for at least a couple of years... It opens in the West End in a few weeks, with Idina singing for the first six months. (and a very good cast- inc our own Adam Garcia as Fiyero, and Nigel Planer as the wizard- but I haven't heard of the girl playing Glinda before) So London's the go I'm heading there at the end of the year to catch it with my wife, and looking forward to that. :-) But when it has taken so long to happen there, and they can make the kind of box office income you do in a west-end blockbuster, I can't see them spending the cash too quickly to pop down to Oz. I hope I'm just an old cynic, but money unfortunately rules. and regarding the casting- let's be honest here. An Australian production is almost guaranteed to feature a Neighbours/Home and Away star in at least one of the big roles- and probably Craig Mcglaughlin (sp?) as the wizard! It seems there isn't a producer willing to risk a show with 'unknown' talent- however much better than our TV stars... :-( Nev It's the simple things stupid... ps- for the wicked tragics such as myself who somehow haven't yet found it- the London show's website- www.wickedthemusical.co.uk

Glinda- Helen Dallimore. NIDA grad, Sydney girl. Lot of Ozzies in the cast- maybe they're preparing for us after all...! :-) LOL It's the simple things stupid...

i cant believe ur going :( im so jealous lol. you are gonna go and see Idina :) wat a dream come true. well if it makes it was down to oz then mabey we can keep the half aussie cast thats in the London production now?. i hope so.
