The Joker is Me Cabaret (with surprise excerpts from Batman the Musical & Bat 3)
Mon, 18 July 2005, 06:39 pmHello everyone,
I am setting up a cabaret performance that will tour the regions of Victoria in order to promote my work and those of my heroes. I have been working on my life-opera, Don Claude Devious, since I was the age of five. Music is composed by Gibson Vendettuoli of Rhode Island, and I think / know he will be happy with this assessment I am now providing. The Joker is Me will start in August, with a trial run in either the Woodbn Theatre (Geelong) or another venue that is being discussed. I am most excited about this prospect.. and of people taking notice of my work as they haven't... thus far.
I spent most of this year shopping Don Claude around, after a fourteen year writing process, to be told that it has incredible potential... as something that will dramatically touch or change people's lives... and yet everyone has been afraid (particularly companies who invest themselves in indesinent revivals) to even go anywhere near it. I have had a new intriguing offer for the work (I am the author of nine musicals - with composers ranging from United Kingdom to Norway to Israel) which I am doubly-promoting with this new exciting cabaret soon to part its doors. This is probably more of an awareness to my immense ambitions in life, but I thought I would disclose with you this temporary new website for this endeavour:
www.freewebs.com/jokerisme
and also the home-realm of my principal work:
www.freewebs.com/donclaudemusical
Thank you for your time!

Sorry, forgot to add. Anyone interested in doing some backing vocals or 'investigating' the show, write to me at my address or the website
Thanks
