Anyone ever seen these musicals?
Wed, 22 June 2005, 11:58 amAs part of a little project of mineÂ…
Is anyone aware of the last time any of these musicals were done in WA?
Or even if they HAVE EVER BEEN DONE in WA.
1776
AinÂ’t MisbehavinÂ’
Applause
Big River
La Cage aux Folles
City of Angels
Damn Yankees
Fiorello!
Hallelujah, Baby!
Kismet
Kiss of the Spider Woman
The Music Man
Nine
Passion
Raisin
Sunset Boulevard
Titanic
Two Gentlemen of Verona
Redhead
The Will Rogers Follies
The Wiz
Wonderful Town
Also I know the following musicals have been done here before, but does anyone know the last time?
Cabaret (When was the professional production? Was it 2001 or 2002?)
Cats (Second time through for professional production?)
Company (WAAPA?)
Evita (Think it was done at His Maj?)
Hello, Dolly!
Kiss Me, Kate
The Mystery of Edwin Drood (WAAPA?)
The Phantom of the Opera (Professional Production, when?)
The Sound of Music
Sweeney Todd (WAAPA?)
Thank you for your assistance...

Wed, 22 June 2005, 02:35 pmAs for the 1st bit..............La Cage aux Folles must have been done somewhere in WA (I am hoping to direct it myself in the next few years!) because I was recently speaking to a guy who had been in it and was telling me about the set design.
I am currently directing The Music Man for Primadonna Productions - we go up in early Sept - although it is the Broadway Jnr (author approved) condensed version for performers under 18. The script is great though and if its an indication of how good the full length version is it'd be great.
Kismet I am sure has been done somewhere as well but its only a vague recall of someone talking about it so I wouldn't like to stake my life on it.
