Newbie seeks help!

Hey
Keen to get into stage shows, choruses but no idea how to start.
Been a frontman in a rock covers band for the past 6 months, but had enough of it, and want to give musical theatre a go.
Can sing, dancing not my strong point (taking lessons soon)!
Anyone got any tips on who/where to contact? I live in Melbourne (near city).
