Gilbert and Sullivan fractured

Hi All, I was just wondering if anyone out there has ever successfully managed to combine the stories of several Gilbert and Sullivan shows into one, including the best known songs from those shows. The company I am involved with has done pirates, Mikado and Pinafore over the past 5 years and in the middle of next year we are doing a trilogy of them. I've combined the 3 shows together, so we'll see how it goes. I'd be interested to hear from ant of you who have tried this in the past.
